Do you walk the talk of a confident woman? Do you want to go from neediness to natural confidence?
Especially when it comes to being successful and integrating career and personal life?
I have always enjoyed seminars, especially on personal growth and business. I’ve heard many a speaker advise on the success how-to’s. There’s a plethora of advice on what you must do in order to be happy, sexy, beautiful, rich or to have a natural confidence. Oftentimes, the information comes across as their way is the only way. Some say you need to have a degree, write a book, invest in a $10,000 website or home school your kids – the list goes on.
The truth is, those things likely worked for them but they don’t necessarily work for me. Sure, some of the ideas were inspiring and motivating, and I’m all for tapping into inspiration or a push forward, in fact, upon leaving a seminar I would say to myself, “yes, I am going to do that!”
But sooner or later, I was back to feeling stuck. I didn’t understand what was happening and blamed myself for not having what it takes to get to the level of success they had. And that wore on my confidence.
Has this happened to you?
What I finally learned was to stop getting caught up in other people’s rules on how to have a successful career or life which was supposedly the result of confidence from their answers to being happy.
In other words, I now know that I cannot keep trying to live other people’s lives or keep doing what they say must be done in order to achieve my success, confidence and happiness.
I have to do what I love and what works for me.
When I force myself in a direction that doesn’t feel right, I end up emotionally and physically drained. Which leads to thoughts of not being smart enough, resourceful enough, educated enough or something else that was not enough.
I learned to get clear on what I really wanted, who I want to spend time with (friends, clients, etc) and the way I wanted to feel at the end of the day.
Stepping into this awareness has been freeing and rewarding beyond belief. It seems rather simple but it can actually be quite profound in self-discovery. To act only in congruence to who you are and what you really do want – is the utmost feeling of confidence.
Since gaining knowledge about the Law of Attraction and becoming certified as a trainer, I understand that it is our thoughts and feelings that create our life. The more the ‘knowing’ deepened for me, the more the proof showed up.
Confidence is such a sweet result that comes from being who YOU are first. It is worthwhile to step away from the chatter of the world and take a journey inward. It is this journey that will create a journey of success on the outside.
As much as I’m a huge believer that we’re here to learn from, lead and support each other, I’m not of the belief we must ignore how we feel or sacrifice our own desires for the success rules of others. Heavens no, this is our sweet spot. This is OUR life!
If you are anything like me, then you too desire to live as an empowered woman, a woman who knows she’s capable of making her own choices and who has much to offer as a model for others.
This is why we must let go of the neediness and dependence on another person telling us what our next step must be. Instead we can embark on a new journey, a new path, one of inner discovery, and one that sheds tears of joy rather than tears of frustration.
Just as I’ve discovered and hope you can too, our natural confidence will shine bright when we live our own life rather than someone else’s. And this is how the confident gal walks her talk!
Thank you for being here. I would love to hear from you! You can also stay connected. I have a free ebook for the purpose of empowering women to be more confident and purposeful.
