Feminine Intuition is How You Are Divinely Aligned to Your Inner Power Source
We don’t always give our gift of intuition or inner power the attention it deserves. Nor do we allow it to serve us when we most need it. Oftentimes, before we embrace our intuition as the guiding force in our life, we seek direction and approval externally, mostly from the people around us. Many us will follow more than lead too.
If we do lead, we may find ourselves doing so by consciously or unconsciously instilling some form of fear in others so that they comply, mostly because we’re living in fear ourselves – this happens with men and women.
We tend to manage our lives intellectually. In other words, we get stuck in our heads, keeping ourselves preoccupied with juggling an assortment of activities and responsibilities in order to manage our lives on the surface. Being in our heads is primarily a masculine trait – we all have masculine and feminine ways of being. Meanwhile, our feminine side is feeling empty, hungry for meaning, restless, somewhat lost, and un-grounded.
This is also why we keep ourselves so busy. It’s one way to distract ourselves, at least temporarily, from experiencing the low-grade inner anxiety that haunts us. But there’s a better way.
The better way allows you to engage on a deeper level with your feminine wisdom – your feminine intuition.
Sharing this with my coaching clients is first and foremost, as well as, how to use their intuition to proactively align with the law of attraction. The 2 together are double duty success magnets to create the life you really want, the love you desire, the job you dream about and on and on.
Let me ask you…..
Are you honoring your intuition? Do you take time to engage it? Do you trust? Do you listen? It’s not a secret that you have this tool but it may become dormant without use.
Here are some questions to ask yourself that will help you be more conscious of your inner guidance and give it more attention.
- How much are you in the habit of honoring your intuition?
- What is your response to guidance when it speaks to you?
- Do you pay attention or do you just push it away?
- Do you have a delayed reaction?
Yes, you’ve had the power all along, darling.

I try to listen to my intuition. I believe it’s a real thing – much more than a wish or an opinion. Sometimes, I wonder how much of my feminine intuition is grounded in a DNA instruction (Like, how I knew how to take care of my oldest boy when I was in remote rural Iowa 36 years ago). Other times, I wonder if it’s “educated guess,” and the educated part just hasn’t been illuminated. For instance, not getting in a cab at the last minute, and not knowing just why (maybe the cab driver looked suspicious). But whatever it is, I’ve learned to trust & appreciate it, more & more.

Great retrospect Jean. We do have the ability to engage in memory, knowledge and inner guidance – I believe it all works together for our benefit.
Jackie Harder says
Oh yes — I definitely listen to my intuition. Many times, it will first show up in my body…tight neck, stiff shoulders, upset stomach. Or will I become accident-prone. All these are clues that I need to stop and pay attention to my intuition.
Teresa Salhi says
What great awareness you have Jackie – to notice the difference in your body – that comment is so valuable.

Once I learned to follow my intuition, life truly changed. I still listen to the outside world, which might be the researcher in me, and then proceed to follow my own inner guidance. It took me a while in my life, however, when the guidance is so strong, how can we not listen and lead from within. Good questions to ask ourselves, when the noise of the outside world seems to overpower our inner voice. Thanks Teresa!
Teresa Salhi says
Yes, I think we are getting so many outside distractions these days that it does overpower our quieter inner voice. Yet the more we do engage the more obvious it becomes.

Love this! Our intuition is a gift and typically leads us where we need to be. It’s what is on our hearts. Great questions to keep in mind!
Teresa Salhi says
Glad you liked it Staci!

Great reminder questions, Teresa! Getting in touch with, listening to and trusting our Inner Wisdom is what allows us to shine! Thanx for sharing your perspective on the subject!

You bet Maria, thank you for being here too!

Teresa, nice to connect with you (popped over from Women of Facebook); I love your approach. I am honoring my divinely feminine
intuition today by staying in. 25-mph winds; big floody rains. Canceled a trip to Muir Woods (field trip) with my daughter, and now canceling going to my beloved WordPress meetup. I’m staying warm and cozy until I get to take a friend to dinner and a play for her bday tonight. Okay — I’ve said it aloud and now I don’t have to think about this any more. Thanks for the inspiration! Will share this post right now.

Ah, yes Sue – it feels good to trust ourselves! Own it girl!

great article Teresa! Listening to our intuition is so very very important but it can also be very easy to lose touch with our intuition and not really know “how” to listen. Are we really hearing the inner guidance, or are we hearing what our ego mind is putting out there; what we are wishing for rather than what we need to hear?
Teresa Salhi says
You make a great point Lisa, it can feel difficult to determine the too if you are not sure what each feels like. Oftentimes, the intuitive messages are softer, not as obvious and even though they could feel a little ‘scary or out of your comfort zone – you just know it is right. The ego side may feel forced, have to do to keep up with other or to stop you from doing what you know is right because it takes you out of your comfort zone. It feels more heavy in most cases. Maybe this will help a little for you or anyone else who reads. Great comment – thank you!

It seems odd that so many women don’t trust their intuition. I always consider it a gift when mine speaks to me. It just feels right. I love this: “The better way allows you to engage on a deeper level with your feminine wisdom – your feminine intuition.”

Thank you Beth!

Hi Teresa 🙂
Wow, really great post! I know exactly what you mean when you say “feminine” intuition 🙂 For me, if I am not in tuned to mine, I feel lost. Knowing what I should do and feeling lost when I do not listen makes me even more aware of that side of me that needs to be nurtured daily 🙂
Great share!
Teresa Salhi says
It really does make all the difference and the more we use it the more we can tell when we are not connected. Thanks for commenting Joan.
Joyce Hansen says
Have been wanting to write about intuition for some time, but have been delaying it. A clear indication that I’m not paying attention to it on this level. Not, that I don’t pay attention to it in other parts of my life, but everytime I ignore it, I can kick myself for not following through.
Teresa Salhi says
So true Joyce – hindsight is our awareness for sure!
Susan Mary Malone says
Oh, Teresa, this is a topic so close to my heart! I write about it often as well–both in blogs and in my fiction. In fact, my last novel has listening to, and acting upon, your intuition as its main theme.
It’s funny, I grew up in a Freudian household, my father an old-school psychiatrist. The masculine side of things–the analytical side–was revered. All things feminine–the intuition being prime among those–was discounted (at best). It took me a while in adulthood to honor my intuition, but as you say, it makes all the difference. You say it so well, “The better way allows you to engage on a deeper level with your feminine wisdom – your feminine intuition.”
And I love your relating that to the law of attraction! Yes, ma’am!
Just love this post!
Teresa Salhi says
Thank you too Susan, I love how you reflect back on your childhood and the unfolding of your awareness. Our intuition is something that needs to take a front seat in our lives rather than a backseat. The law of attraction is always at play in our life too whether we believe it or know it – best for our success to align with these magnetic, scientific and divine tools as they are there for us.
Roslyn Tanner Evans says
I never really tuned into my intuition until the last few years. Love that I can do this.
Teresa Salhi says
Yes, wonderful Rosalyn. It your inner power that is always on your side.
Sabrina M Quairoli says
I do trust my intuition most of the time. I know sometimes when I don’t feel well, I see that I don’t trust as much. Thanks for sharing. This is a great reminder.
Teresa Salhi says
You’re welcome Sabrina – we all do the best we can in the moment – and nice to know we do have a powerful resource in our back pocket.
